Goldman Sachs estimates that generative AI could expose the equivalent of 300 million full-time jobs globally to automation, but “exposed” does not mean all those jobs disappear. It means parts of those jobs can be automated, redesigned, or changed.

As AI automates tasks, the education system should not only ask, “What jobs are disappearing?” It should ask, “What new human roles are needed because AI is entering every decision space?”
Mental health, education, family support, career transition, elder care, small business, community services, and workplace adaptation all need more people who can help others think clearly, organize situations, use AI safely, access resources, and design next steps.
